Terrence J. McCabe a founding shareholder, is a graduate of the Memphis State University School of Law, having received his Juris Doctorate in 1972. He graduated from St. Bernard College in 1969 and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association, Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, The Federal Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, New Jersey Bar Association and The Federal Court for the Southern District of New Jersey. He is a member of the Fee Disputes Committee and serves as a Master in Partition. Mr. McCabe is licensed as a Title Insurance Agent by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Marc S. Weisberg a founding shareholder, is a graduate of Villanova University School of Law, where he was an Editor of the Villanova Docket, and received his Juris Doctorate in 1973, following his service in the U.S. Army Infantry.
He previously attended Penn State University and graduated from Temple University in 1969 where he was elected to Pi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society for Political Science.
He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1973 as well as the State of New York, and was also admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as the Middle District of Pennsylvania and Southern District of New York.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.
He was Vice President and Supervisor of Claims for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.
Mr. Weisberg is a former President of the Lynnewood Gardens Tenants Association, and former legal counsel to Ohev Shalom Synagogue of Bucks County.
He is a settlement Master and Judge Pro Tem for the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County and a Settlement Mediator for the Federal Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the Foreclosure Steering Committee for the 1st Judicial District of PA.
Mr. Weisberg has lectured extensively on Judicial foreclosure practices and mediation procedures in foreclosure action and loss mitigation and title claims.
Mr. Weisberg is also licensed as a Title Insurance Agent by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and State of New Jersey. Mr. Weisberg's field of expertise is real estate litigation, creditor's rights and lending law violation defense, and loss mitigation in foreclosure matters.
Edward D. Conway a founding shareholder, graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1978 and received his Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in 1981. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania as well as before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has also been admitted to practice Pro Hac Vice in New Jersey, New York and Delaware. Mr. Conway concentrates his practice in civil litigation including insurance litigation, personal injury, product liability, construction accidents as well as real estate and transactional litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and American Trial Lawyers Association.
Margaret Gairo, a shareholder, is a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh School of Law having received her Juris Doctorate in 1981. While at the University of Pittsburgh she served as a Comments Editor on the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. She received her Bachelors Degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1978. Mrs. Gairo is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and The United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, P.C., Mrs. Gairo was a partner with the law firm of Philips, Curtin & DiGiacomo concentrating her practice in the areas of mortgage foreclosure, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy. She also was a member of the adjunct faculty of Peirce College from 1983 to 1992 teaching bankruptcy law and business law to paralegals. Mrs. Gairo manages the Bankruptcy Department for the firm.
Ms. Gairo serves as a member of the ALFN Legal Servicing Judicial Outreach Subcommittee.
Lisa L. Wallace a shareholder, received her Bachelor's Degree from New York University, cum laude. She was a recipient of The Founder's Day Award, acknowledging performance in the highest bracket of her class. Ms. Wallace received her Juris Doctorate from St. John's University School of Law. While there, she was a Dean's List Recipient, and received a CALI Award for Excellence in a particular area of law. Ms. Wallace also was a winner of the Walter J. McKenna Writing Competition. Ms. Wallace served as Articles Editor for the New York Litigator, a commercial litigation periodical published through the New York State Bar Association and was a contributing writer to the Criminal Justice Journal. She is licensed to practice in New York State, the State of Connecticut, as well as the District Courts for both the Eastern and Southern District of New York.
Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Ms. Wallace worked in the area of foreclosure and bankruptcy at an established foreclosure firm. She then joined Franklin Credit Management Corporation as the Assistant Manager of the Legal Department, where she oversaw the foreclosure and bankruptcy staff. Ms. Wallace also was Counsel to Escrow Settlement Corp., a national settlement company. She practices in the area of creditor’s rights foreclosure and bankruptcy, REO and eviction actions, and loss mitigation.
Deborah K. Curran is a shareholder and is a managing attorney for the Maryland office and D.C.. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1969 and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland Law School, with honors, in June 1977. She was a settlement attorney for the firm of Brennan, Jump & Kneib, P.A., from 1978 to 1981.
She conducted foreclosure sales and real estate closings for the firm of O'Malley, Miles, McCarthy & Harrell, P.C. from 1984 to 1985. She provides representation for creditors before the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, as well as processing foreclosure cases in Maryland and D.C.
She is a member of the Bar in both Maryland and the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Court in both Maryland and Washington, DC. She is a member of the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association and the MSBA consumer bankruptcy section and has presented numerous seminars on foreclosure and bankruptcy law. She served as Adjunct Auditor for the Circuit Court in Prince George's County, Maryland.
Laura H.G. O’Sullivan is a shareholder and is a managing attorney for the Maryland and Virginia and D.C offices. Her undergraduate degree is from Southern Connecticut State University and she received her Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law, graduating cum laude in May 1995.
She has been a member of the Maryland Bar since June 1996 and was admitted to the U.S. District Court of Maryland in June 1997 and to the D.C. Bar in November 1999. Ms. O'Sullivan handles Maryland and D.C. foreclosures, bankruptcy matters, REO, and eviction actions, and loss mitigation.
Jason Brooks is the managing attorney for the Connecticut office and received his Bachelor's Degree from San Francisco State University. Mr. Brooks received his Juris Doctorate from University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his LLM in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
While at University of Pittsburgh School of Law he was a Dean's List Recipient, and received the Gerald K. Gibson Memorial Award for excellence in the study of bankruptcy. Mr. Brooks served as an Associate Editor for the Pittsburgh Tax Review, a student law journal that focused on tax law. Mr. Brooks was also an active participant in the Low Income Tax Law clinic which provided low income individuals with pro-bono legal assistance in issues involving the IRS. Mr. Brooks interned with Judge Judith Fitzgerald of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
He is licensed to practice in New York State, Connecticut, Western District of New York ,Eastern District of New York, Southern District of New York, & Northern District of New York.
He will be concentrating his practice with the firm to creditor's rights and bankruptcy.
Janet Z. Charlton is managing attorney of the Delaware Office of McCabe Weisberg Conway, LLC,. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation, estate litigation and creditor’s rights, representing many national and regional banks and mortgage companies, and makes frequent appearances in the Delaware Court of Chancery, Superior Court and Bankruptcy Court. Janet was previously a partner at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP, where she practiced for twenty years.
She served as a member of the Delaware Bankruptcy Court Rules Subcommittee for Chapter 13 practice, the Ad Hoc Committee to establish Superior Court Foreclosure Mediation Procedures (2009) and the Delaware Task Force to implement new Foreclosure laws ( 2011) . She has degrees from New York University (B.S., Finance 1986), Temple University School of Law (J.D., cum laud 1989) and Temple University School of Business (MBA 1991). She is admitted to practice in Delaware, U.S. District of Delaware and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Gayl C. Spivak is the managing attorney for the New Jersey office and graduated from Brandeis University in 1988 and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in 1991. She is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Spivak has been representing lenders for 18 years, and specializes in mortgage foreclosures and related creditor’s rights, in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Camden County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Luke Anderson graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. In 2011 he received his Juris Doctorate, Magna Cum Laude, from Temple University School of Law.
While at Temple, Mr. Anderson was a Dean’s List recipient and received the Lenard Sigal Memorial Award for the study of criminal law. He also competed in the American Bar Association’s Student Tax Challenge.
Mr. Anderson is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has focused on mortgage foreclosure issues since 2010, when he began working for the firm as a law clerk.
Roxanne Arena is the COO of REO America Abstract, Inc. She graduated from Oberlin College in 1975 and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law in 1993. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the State of New Jersey, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and in the United States District Court for the State of New Jersey.
Prior to joining REO America Abstract, Inc., Ms. Arena worked in the areas of title underwriting, REO asset management, title agency management, and real estate development and finance, representing a title insurance company, a title insurance agency, lenders, borrowers, sellers, purchasers and real estate developers. She specializes nationally in title insurance agency management and in REO asset management.
Erin M. Brady received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore thereafter.
Ms. Brady is licensed to practice in Maryland. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Brady was a law clerk for a firm which handled a variety of property-related litigation matters including easements, adverse possession, quiet title actions and critical area law.
Ms. Brady's area of practice focuses on foreclosure-related matters in Maryland, as well as title-related litigation.
Samantha A. Clifford received her Bachelor’s Degree from Villanova University in 1987 and her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in 1991. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey, the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Clifford has over 12 years experience representing lenders in mortgage foreclosure and related creditor’s rights matters.
Marisa Joy Cohen received her undergraduate degree from New York University in 1998. She was a recipient of the prestigious Founder's Day Award given for academic excellence. At New York University she concentrated in political science and social work. Ms. Cohen attended Rutgers Law School where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2001. While at Rutgers Law, Ms. Cohen was invited to compete on the Advanced Trial Advocacy Team where she was a finalist on the ATLA Eastern Regional Trial Competition for the United States. Since graduating from law school Ms. Cohen has practiced exclusively in the area of bankruptcy in the representation of mortgage lenders.
Ms. Cohen is licenced to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is admitted to the Federal District Courts of New Jersey and the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania.

Laura T. Curry received her Bachelor’s Degree from the College of the Holy Cross and graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law (UB). While attending law school, Ms. Curry was an associate editor of the Law Review. She has an article published in the Spring 2009 volume of the Holy Cross Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Ms. Curry is currently a member of the American Bar Association. She is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Ms. Curry practiced in the area of family law and estate administration. Ms. Curry’s area of practice focuses on foreclosure-related matters in Maryland.
Corrin DeMent received her undergraduate degree from Methodist College in 2001. She graduated college receiving her Bachelor of Science degree, Cum Laude, in political science. Thereafter, Mrs. DeMent attended Widener Law School where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2005. After graduating from law school she worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Jean B. McMaster, J.S.C., of Gloucester County.
Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Mrs. DeMent worked as a litigation associate for the general practice firm of Hoffman DiMuzio for five years. A portion of her practice was focused on Appellate work.
Mrs. DeMent is licensed to practice in New Jersey and admitted to the Federal District Courts of New Jersey. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and active with the foreclosure subcommittee of the Association’s Real Property Section. . Her practice is focused on litigation in the areas of foreclosures and lien priorities. Mrs. DeMent was named a New Jersey Super Lawyer Rising Star for the years 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Jonathan Elefant received his Bachelor’s degree from Ner Israel College in 2005, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2010. Mr. Elefant is a member of the Maryland Bar, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States Tax Court.
Mr. Elefant’s area of practice focuses on foreclosure-related matters in Maryland, as well as Maryland Bankruptcy.
Sheera G. Engrissei received her Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University in 2004. She attended Widener University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2009. While at Widener Law, Ms. Engrissei was a certified legal intern for the Bankruptcy Clinical Program. She also worked as a legal assistant in a Mortgage Foreclosure firm in Cherry Hill, NJ before and during Law School. Additionally during Law School, Ms. Engrissei was a law clerk for a solo practitioner in Hainesport, NJ focusing on criminal defense.
Ms. Engrissei is licensed to practice in New Jersey. She is a member of the Camden County Bar Association.

Alexandra T. Garcia received her Bachelor of Arts from Boston College in 2006. She attended Villanova University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2009. While at Villanova Law, Ms. Garcia was a certified legal intern for the Farmworker Legal Aid Clinical Program. She also worked as a law clerk for a solo practitioner in Lansdale, focusing on immigration law.
Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Ms. Garcia worked as a bankruptcy attorney at a Philadelphia debtor's rights firm.
Ms. Garcia is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is admitted to the Federal District Courts of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Garcia concentrates her practice in the fields of bankruptcy, creditor's rights, and foreclosure related litigation.
Mark Golab graduated from Colgate University in 1998 where he majored in English and minored in Philosophy. In 2001, Mr. Golab received his Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York. Mark is licensed to practice in New York and Connecticut as well as the United States District Court, District of Connecticut.
Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, P.C., Mr. Golab practiced in the areas of complex commercial litigation, contested foreclosure, lender liability, predatory lending and construction litigation. In the past ten years, Mark has gained extensive courtroom experience and has litigated matters from inception to trial at a large international firm.
Mr Golab will concentrate his practice in the areas of mortgage foreclosure litigation and creditor’s rights litigation, and lender’s liability defense.
Christine Graham received her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University in 2004. Thereafter, Ms. Graham attended Temple University Law School where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2010.
Ms. Graham has worked with creditors with Real Estate Financing and Foreclosure matters since 2005. She currently concentrates her practice in the fields of foreclosure, REO and related litigation. Ms. Graham is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Jose O. Hasbun obtained his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in 2004. Mr. Hasbun obtained his Masters degree from St. John’s University in 2007, and his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 2010. During law school, he worked as an advocate at the Unemployment Action Center (UAC), as well as serving as a member of its executive board.
In addition to being an attorney at McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Jose O. Hasbun is also an associate professor in the Law & Police Science Department of John Jay College.
He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Hasbun is a member of the New York City Bar Association, The New York Bar Association, The Queens County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Brian T. LaManna received his Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University in 1997 and received his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in 2003. Since graduating law school, Mr. LaManna has practiced exclusively in the field of creditor's rights concentrating primarily on bankruptcy, foreclosure, secured lending and related litigation.
Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Mr. LaManna practiced creditor's rights law in Massachusetts, Maryland and the District of Columbia representing national secured lending institutions in a myriad of issues including lien disputes, quiet title actions, wrongful foreclosure and other matters.
Mr. LaManna is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia as well as Federal District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts for Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. Mr. LaManna is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and is a volunteer attorney for the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
Jo-Ann T. Lambert-O’Neill earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio in 1994. She received her Juris Doctor in 1998 from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. Prior to joining McCabe Weisberg & Conway, she worked in the bankruptcy and foreclosure departments of law firms in New York and Connecticut.
Ms. Lambert-O’Neill is licensed to practice in Connecticut. She is also admitted to the United States District Court, District of Connecticut.
Ms. Lambert-O’Neill’s area of practice focuses on foreclosure-related matters in Connecticut.
Laura L. Latta received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and her Juris Doctor from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. Prior to law school, Ms. Latta was a real estate paralegal at a firm which handled both commercial and residential real estate matters. While at Richmond Law, Ms. Latta served as a board member for the ADR Society and was a finalist in the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution Representation in Mediation Competition. During law school, Ms. Latta worked as a closing consultant at a mortgage brokerage firm in Richmond and prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, she worked as a title officer for a regional title company.
Ms. Latta is licensed to practice law in Maryland and is a member of the Real Property Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. She is a licensed title insurance producer and real estate sales agent in Maryland.
Phillip Mahony received his Bachelor of Arts Degree and Masters Degree in English literature from New York University. He attended New York Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2005. While there, he served as Articles Editor for the Law Review, and was the recipient of the Uniformed Forces Scholarship and the Judge Harlan Scholarship
Mr. Mahony is licensed to practice in New York State, and in the Bankruptcy Courts of both the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Mr. Mahony represented secured creditors as an associate in the finance and bankruptcy groups at King & Spalding LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
Andrew L. Markowitz, is a graduate of Boston University School of Law, having received his Juris Doctorate in 1978. He graduated cum laude from Yale University in 1975. He was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1978 and was subsequently admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in 1980 and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 1981.
Mr. Markowitz was a partner for eighteen years with the law firm of Markowitz & Markowitz during which time he concentrated his practice in the areas of mortgage foreclosure, creditors' rights and bankruptcy law. From 1978 to 1985, Mr. Markowitz was an associate with the law firm of Markowitz & Richman, concentrating his practice in the area of labor relations, foreclosure and creditors' rights and bankruptcy law.
Mr. Markowitz will continue to specialize in creditor's rights, and residential real estate litigation and bankruptcy for the firm.
Kevin T. McQuail received his Bachelor of Arts from The Pennsylvania State University in 2001; he received his Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law thereafter.
Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Mr. McQuail worked as a law clerk at a Pennsylvania creditor's rights firm, focusing on foreclosure and bankruptcy. Prior to law school, he worked for four years as a title officer for a national title insurance underwriter.
Mr. McQuail is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, as well as the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. Mr. McQuail is a member of the American Bar Association and concentrates his practice in the fields of bankruptcy, creditor's rights, foreclosure, and related litigation.
Antoinette N. Moore received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2001. She graduated from the University of Maryland as a College Park Scholar with a citation in Children's Advocacy. Ms. Moore earned her Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2005. During her law studies, Ms. Moore was a member of the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse and served as a Managing Editor for the Capital Defense Journal. Additionally, she was selected as a pupil to the Ted A. Dalton American Inn of Court. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Moore served as a law clerk for nine senior judges at the District of Columbia Superior Court. She has also served as a law clerk in the Civil Division of the District of Columbia Office of the Attorney General and the Chambers of Magistrate Judges in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.
Ms. Moore is licensed to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Ms. Moore served as an associate with Taylor Sylla & Agin, LLP representing clients in a variety of civil litigation matters. Ms. Moore serves as pro bono counsel for W.E.A.V.E and the Richmond Sexual & Domestic Violence Immigration Clinic.
Theodore J. Moralle graduated from Catholic University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. In 2011 he received his Juris Doctorate from Drexel University, Earle Mack School of Law.
Mr. Moralle is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He has worked with Real Estate and title issues since 2005. Mr. Moralle has focused on mortgage foreclosure issues since 2010, when he began working for the firm as a law clerk.
Abby K. Moynihan received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware in 2005, and received her Juris Doctorate from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 2008. Ms. Moynihan is licensed to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia, she is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Ms. Moynihan handles foreclosure-related matters in Virginia, along with Virginia Bankruptcy matters and oversees real property settlements.
Anne Peightel graduated cum laude from the University of Delaware in 2006, and received her Juris Doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of law in 2009. Ms. Peightel is licensed to practice in Maryland, Virginia, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Ms. Peightel handles foreclosure-related matters in Maryland and Virginia.
Makenna E. Porch received her Bachelor’s Degree from the American University of Washington, D.C. and her Juris Doctorate from Touro Law.
While at Touro Law, Ms. Porch worked with the Mental Health Clinic which provides pro bono legal assistance to low income individuals. Ms. Porch was recognized with the award for special services to the school and received a CALI Award for Excellence in Law and Economics. Ms. Porch also assisted the Judicial Committee in preparing the New York Pattern Jury Instructions.
Ms. Porch is licensed in New York State. Her practice with the firm will be concentrated in creditor’s rights, bankruptcy and loss mitigation.
Matthew Russell graduated with merit from the United States Naval Academy in 1995, and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Russell received his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2006, where he was a member of law review and graduated cum laude.
Mr. Russell is licensed to practice in the State of New York and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Prior to joining McCabe Weisberg & Conway, P.C., Mr. Russell worked as an associate at firms representing creditors’ rights in foreclosures, business loans, and bankruptcy.
Mr. Russell concentrates his practice in the areas of mortgage foreclosure litigation and creditor’s rights litigation.
Benjamin P. Smith, Esquire obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky in 2001 and his law degree from the Appalachian School of Law in 2007. During law school he was a co-founder of the Appalachian Natural Resources Law Journal and served as a member of its executive board. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Maryland and the District of Columbia, and all federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia, including bankruptcy courts.
Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Benjamin P. Smith represented large and small lending institutions, title insurers and debt collectors in the areas of real property law, creditor's rights, banking, corporate law, commercial litigation, title insurance litigation, foreclosure law and bankruptcy law while practicing as a member of the litigation team and as head bankruptcy counsel with Buonassissi, Henning & Lash, P.C.
Benjamin P. Smith was also counsel to a construction company in Nashville in its effort to revitalize historic areas of the city, served as a law clerk for the Environmental Protection Agency and acted as a consultant to foreign energy companies in the development and trade of clean energy, and the development of clean waste handling procedures.
Heidi R. Spivak received her Bachelor’s Degree from Adelphi University in 1991, and her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law - Camden in 1994. She has been specializing in the areas of creditor’s rights, bankruptcy and mortgage foreclosure since 1994 and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pa. and the State of N.J. as well as all Federal Districts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Ms. Spivak is a member of the Middle District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Bar Association, and is on the Judicial Advisory Committee to the Honorable Mary D. France, U.S.B.J.
Melissa A. Sposato received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut in 1999. Ms. Sposato was a Merit scholarship recipient from Hofstra University School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2002. Ms. Sposato has specialized in the areas of mortgage foreclosures, mortgage lending, transactional real estate and related litigation since 2003.
Ms. Sposato is currently admitted to practice law in the Courts of the State of New York. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.
Richard J. Suzor, Jr., earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College in 2002. Mr. Suzor received his Juris Doctorate from Western New England College School of Law in 2009. While attending law school, Mr. Suzor interned at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office of Immigration Review, Hartford Immigration Court. Mr. Suzor participated in the law school’s Real Estate Clinic/Practicum, which included work with local title companies and residential real estate practitioners.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Suzor served as a staff member to the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, charged with oversight jurisdiction of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). While with the Committee, Mr. Suzor concentrated in issues relating to U.S-foreign economic policy, manufacturing and veterans.
Mr. Suzor is licensed to practice in New York and Connecticut. He focuses in the firm’s foreclosure and loss mitigation areas.
Diana Theologou graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 1994 and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1998.
She was a recipient of the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence. She is a member of the Maryland Bar as well as the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member and past secretary of the Maryland State Bar Association Consumer Bankruptcy Section and is a frequent speaker at various seminars

Heather Wejnert, Esq. received her bachelor’s degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey in Sociology and Criminology and her Juris Doctorate from Massachusetts School of Law.
Ms. Wejnert is licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut.
Ms. Wejnert practices in the areas of creditor’s rights and residential real estate.
Catherine Welker graduated cum laude from Connecticut College in 1980 where she majored in English and Political Science. In 1984 Ms. Welker received her Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts.While there she served as writer and then Editor of the Suffolk University Law Review. She is licensed to practice in New York and Massachusetts as well as the District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Prior to joining McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, Ms. Welker practiced in the areas of securities litigation and commercial litigation in New York. Ms. Welker has actively participated in numerous high profile cases in federal and state courts which have resulted in significant recoveries for her clients.
